On the CISCO 2800 router present
in our CN LAB, perform these tasks ( Write commands in the
empty spaces after the tasks)
- Set
the hostname to ROUTER_CCNA
- Assign
the console password FARHAN_CN
- Assign
the auxiliary password FARHAN.TANWIR
- Assign
the telnet password HAMDARD
- Assign
enable secret password CCNA
- How
will you get the output of the command show running-config, specific to just outputs including
passwords?

- How
many fast ethernet and serial interfaces are there in your router? Find
which serial interface is DCE and which is DTE? Also assign clock rate
equal to 125000 on the DCE link.
- Assign
IP Address 192.168.10.5 on fastethernet interface 0/0 and 172.16.50.1 on
serial interface 0/1
- Find
the type of data encapsulation on fast Ethernet and serial interfaces.
Which command will show you this information?
- What
information does the show version command
provide?
- Set
the login banner to THIS IS HAMDARD UNIVERSITY and banner of the day to
WOW WE ARE HAMDARDIANS
- Copy
the running configurations to the NVRAM.
- Now
erase NVRAM…which configurations will be erased?
- Instead
of CLI what can we use to configure our router? Briefly discuss it
